House. 3 storeys. C.18 red brick with C.19 rusticated stucco base. Five C.19 sash windows, two blocked. String at 2nd floor. Dentilled brick cornice. Welsh slate roof. Scroll bracketted hood and pilasters to front doorway. Five hipped tiled gables at back.

Full Description
No 4, formerly part of the Bear Hotel, is a three storey house dating to the 18th century with 19th century sash windows and a carriage way into a courtyard at the back <2>.
The buildings of No 4, along with those at Nos 24 and 26 Broadway, were recorded and assessed in 2004-05 <3> in connection with the redevelopment of the site.
