  • Old Listed Building Ref (pre 1984) (II): Map No 32 17/13 Westcourt House including garden wall.
    C.18, two storeys, chequer brick, offset and dentilled brick eaves, flush vitreous brick first floor string, old tile roof, flanking chimneys. A five bay north front with later central brick porch with entablature and blocking course. Eight panelled central door to porch, rectangular fanlight with diagonal patterned glazing, flanked by wide panelled pilasters supporting the entablature which breaks forward over the doorway. Interior may be of interest. Low curved brick and flint garden wall to road with central wooden gate.

Full Description

The revised Pevsner dates the entrance range of West Court House to the late 18th century, with the rest later <3>. A history of Inkpen notes it as an early 18th century manor house <6>. The Victoria County History <4> documents the medieval owners of the manor later known as Westcourt.
