Full Description
A bridge at this location designed by Brunel was built of brick and (probably) timber as part of the Berks & Hants Railway in 1847, but the modern bridge dated from around 1900: the deck was of steel beam construction <1>. A planning application to demolish and replace the bridge was approved in 2012.
