Full Description
The Newbury West signal box is shown on the Third epoch OS map of 1911 <1> and the building appears on the Fifth epoch OS map of 1969 <2>. The box was built in 1910 as part of the redevelopment of Newbury station <3> and was demolished following the introduction of colour light signalling in the late 1970s. An aerial photograph of 1937 <4> shows the signal box in the right foreground.
