Full Description
A footbridge at this location was built across the former Great Western Railway line between the platforms at Hungerford station in the early 20th century: it is not present on the Second Edition OS map of 1899, but is shown on the Third Edition map of 1911, by which time the railway tracks through the station had been realigned <1>. The Hungerford Virtual Museum says it was first built in 1902 and replaced in 1999 <2>.
