Full Description
Hungerford West signal box is shown on the Second epoch OS map of 1899 <1>, replacing an earlier signal box on the east side of the level crossing, and is shown on later historic mapping up to 1969. It was partially demolished as a result of a derailment of railway wagons in 1971; its replacement was finally demolished in 1978 <2>.
