Full Description
The lych gate at St Michael's Church, Inkpen was erected in 1934 as a memorial to the Rev Butler, the vicar of the parish <1>. It was made at Inkpen's sawmill <1>, with the oak rafters being cleft in a traditional style, and an adze being used instead of a plane <2>.
The lych gate is first marked on the 5th Epoch Ordnance Survey mapping <2>.
