Full Description
A large rectangular hangar with linked warehouse buildings forming a large L-shape on the former Cold War base. Building 300 was previously called Hangar 1 during the USAF Strategic Air Command's occupation of the site. The adjacent 300B was used by 501st Supply Squadron for storage of spare parts and was constructed in 1982. Interestingly, 300A is not shown on the 1957 base map but does appear on 1969 OS mapping, so appears to have been constructed in the late 50s or 60s and used as a warehouse. Most recently these buildings are recorded as being used as a car shed (300), offices (A), and storage (B) <1>.
