Full Description

The churchyard surrounding the 11th century church of St Peter's is marked on the Kingsclere Ordnance Survey Drawing of 1808 <1>, the Brimpton Enclosure map of 1815 <2>, the Brimpton Tithe map of 1842 <3> and the First Edition OS map of 1877-80 <4> onwards. It had been extended to the south by the Third Edition map of 1911 <5> and the southern portion further extended by the Fifth Edition map of 1971 <6>.

The oldest burial listed on one website dates to 1769 <7>.
