Full Description
Earthworks north-west of Burghfield Ordnance Factory were identified during the Silchester Iron Age Environs mapping project <1>. Historic England's research records <2> record them as two possible Second World War weapons pits or bomb craters visible as earthworks on aerial photographs <3> north-west of Burghfield Ordnance Factory. The pits measure 5m in diameter and one (to the south-west) has a bank of spoil around it.
