Summary

Full Description

In 2007, a pillbox was reported to be in the bottom south-eastern corner of AWE Burghfield, overlooking Building Group 11R <1>, but removed by 2016 <2>. This may correspond with a small, rectangular structure visible on an earthwork mound to the east of Group 11R on aerial photos taken in 1999 <3> and 2003 <4>, but removed by 2010 <5>.

The presence of the pillbox was not mentioned when building recording of Building Group 11R was carried out in 2015 <6>.
