Full Description
Gate '6' in draft report on Gate Piers, January 2009. This pair lies at the end of a residential drive which allows access to various converted and new buildings on the site of the Hamstead Marshall mansion gardens; the pillars form a gateway into the more rural park
ONE PAIR OF 8 PAIRS OF ENTRANCE PIERS, SOME IN GARDEN WALL AND OTHER POSITIONED AROUND SOIL- MARKS OF ADJACENT GARDEN. THE 9TH PAIR WAS REMOVED TO SERVE AS AN ENTRANCE TO BENHAM PARK.
