2 MILLS MENTIONED IN DOMESDAY AT ULVRITONE; BUT CORN AND FULLING MILLS FIRST DOCUMENTED IN TOWN IN 1204, AND A TANNING MILL IN 1308. TITHE MAP SHOWS MILLS ON KENNET EITHER SIDE OF BRIDGE. (is this right?)
