General Note
Much of the main part of Bradfield Village consists of C.19 brick and flint buildings of Bradfield School, for a considerable part designed by Sir. G. Scott. The materials and scale fit in with the neighbourhood. Church of St. Simon and Jude is C.19.

Full Description
Mentioned as 'Bradefelt' in the Domesday Book <1>.
The pre-1980s list of buildings of architectural or historic interest noted that 'much of the main part of Bradfield Village consists of 19th century brick and flint buildings of Bradfield School, for a considerable part designed by Sir G. Scott. The materials and scale fit in with the neighbourhood.' <4>
Histories of Bradfield have been compiled at several times <2><7><8>.
