Full Description
The butts are drawn on the First Edition Ordnance Survey <1> as a rectangular mound surrounded by four squared off pits; these are marked as gravel pits. By the second epoch <2>the label is changed to 'Target Pit', and by the third epoch <3> the butts seem to have gone out of use as they are named 'Old Butts'.
