Full Description
One of two kilns discovered during geophysical survey. Constructed from clay and chalk. Stokehole was 2' 9" long with a short flue, 1' long. The furnace was cup-shaped 2 1/2' in diameter at the top and 21" deep. The flue had been blocked with clay at the end of the last firing and a large amount of pottery and ash had been dumped in the stokehole and furnace <1>
