Full Description
Hamstead Marshall is recorded in Domesday. The village passed through many hands over the centuries, including those of Jane Seymour and Catherine Parr. Today the village is widely scattered, with Hamstead Marshall park to the NE of the parish, and 'castle mounds' to the NW of the park.
