Full Description

WATER MILL ON TRIBUTARY OF KENNET (LISTED BY J K MAJOR) WHEEL DRIVEN WITH TWO PAIRS OF STONES. CEASED WORK IN 1930'S, DESCRIBED AS "FAIRISH CONDITION" "AN IMPORTANT MILL. SMALL BRICK BOARD AND SLATE BUILDING" 1991 BUILDING SURVIVES USE IS AN OFFICE LEAT RUNS TO KENNET.

The First Edition Ordnance Survey <3> marks Woolhampton Mill as a corn mill. It appears that Hedges Foundry in Bucklebury (MWB4122) made the waterwheels for mills at Woolhampton, Marlston and Bucklebury Manor Farm <4>.
