Manor Farm Hambledon , a country residence of the Bishops of Winchester dates to the 12th century and comprises a stone built range with a late medieval timber-framed wing. The house was extended and raised with a timber-framed structure in the 16th and 17th century and partly re-fronted in the 17th and in the mid-19th century. Floor and roof timbers within the smaller medieval stone structure have been subject to dendrochronological analysis.
