Summary
A World War II modified Type 23 pillbox located at Shoreham Airport. The pillbox was constructed in 1940-41, built of brick and reinforced concrete and formed part of the ground defences to RAF Shoreham. A field visit in 1998 found the pillbox to be extant. This pillbox was also mapped from historical aerial photographs.
