Although covered with heather, the moundappears to be composed of small pebbles and soil; the natural surface geology of the area. Subcircular in plan, it measures 11.1m n to s and11.8m e to w, with a clear break in its w slope. It stands up to 1.2m high and has a prominent, bowl-shaped profile. The mound is apparentlyundisturbed. There is no reason to doubt its antiquity. |
