| Summary: | Flint implements, paleolithic. Worked flints found immediately north of colyford station. In stony alluvium overlying flood-plain gravel, numerous artifacts, including cores and blades of flint and a few of chert, constitute the first such find in the plain of the axe valley. Some resemble those found on beer head plateau (macalpine-woods and reid-moir). |
