Summary: | Large laneba bowl barrow. Unusually well preserved.47m ew by 62m ns by 3m high. Traces of ditch on w side, 6m wide by 0.2m deep. Outer bank also survives on w side, 6m wide, up to 0.2m high. A hedgebank crosses n side and beyond it, a large quarry pit has cut into the barrow (33m by 23m by 2m deep). A low waste tip, 17m wide, 0.8m high lies on the barrow's e side. A building within the quarry pit is excluded, although the ground beneath it is included (am). |
