Summary: | The church house was granted on a long lease to Roger Power in 1610 by Sir Nicholas Prideaux in return for his undertaking to repair the house and the church roof. In 1824 it had been used as a poorhouse for some time, and was old and dilapidated. Sold at the end of the nineteenth century to the County Authority who erected a police station on the site.
