| Summary: | Vis=14/1/1953 (os) a low knoll s of langford barton farm, about 60m above a small stream in a valley running e-w. Oval 2.5m high with concave top and well defined ditch on n and w sides. From the outside of the ditch on the nw a bank, 0.4m high, no ditch, proceeds n and then e for 75m. To the west of this is another bank 0.3m high, which has a slight ditch on its west side. This additional bank is difficult to account for, but may represent a strengthening of the defences on this exposed side. |
