Single piece of stone, forming shaft + head, with arms aligned n-s, though s arm missing. No socket stone visible. Total height 1.17m. Shaft very neat + well dressed, and roughly rectangular in section, 0.26m by 0.23m. A 35mm rebate extends around edge of e + w faces of shaft, as well as top + bottom of arms, and vertical faces of head, giving effect of a shallow cross in relief, raised c.15mm, on w + e faces. |
