Summary: | Vis=13/11/1977 (taylor) low chert circular cairn surrounded by (probably continuous) shallow ditch. The whole area is under heather with some gorse grading down to peat, and this vegetation up to 1m total depth emphasises the actual height of the cairn. This continuous cover suggests that the area round the cairn has not been disturbed in recent times. There are indications of other features, of a somewhat similar nature in the immediate vicinity, (200m or less distant) (taylor, worksheet). |
