| Summary: | An assessment of the route of the proposed Torbay Ring Road Stage 3. The route is 2.9 kilometre long and commences in Marldon and terminates south of King’s Ash Road and Waterleat Road junction. The assessment comprises of a survey of documentary evidence and rapid field observations. Five main areas of archaeological interest were ascertained; colluvial and environmental deposits, Lower Westerland, a watercourse, Blagdon and water meadows. The report recommends evaluation excavations and carried out as well as a watching brief during construction. |
