Title:The Refectory Range of Kerswell Priory
Originator:Allan, J. + Young, G.
Date:2006
Summary:After years of neglect the southern claustral range of Kerswell Priory was largely demolished in 1985. It had been a five bay structure with a central open hall. It's fine medieval roof is described. After the dissolution the range was converted to a farmhouse and later turned to agricultural use. Appendices by Weddell and Hall and Thorp describe the post-medieval documentation relating to the site, an excavtion to the north of the church and a study of the 16th century and later former mansion house, now the farmhouse on the opposite side of the farmyard.
