Summary:	Results of a magnetometry survey carried out along sections of a proposed gas pipeline route between Ottery St. Mary and Aylesbeare. The survey sections were identified as having enhanced archaeological potential due to the close proximity of cropmarks and the suitability of soils for settlement. Generally many magnetic anomalies located during the survey were of low magnitude due to underlying geology. However, Areas 2c, 6 and 18b contained linear or curvilinear anomalies possibly of archaeological origin. Other anomalies classified as uncertain may also relate to archaeological features but agricultural, modern or natural origins cannot be ruled out.
