Summary:Report presenting the results of geophysical surveys carried out on seven sites along the proposed route of the Ottery St Mary to Ashcombe gas pipeline where aerial photos have recorded archaeological sites. A ring ditch was recorded at Site 2 (Metcombe) and a field system was recorded at Site 7 (Ashcombe). Linear anomalies were recorded at Sites 2, 6 and 7 which probably represent former field boundaries. However a ring ditch visible on aerial photographs at Site 6 (Mowlish) was not detected. No archaeological features were detected in Sites 1, 3, 4 and 5.
