Originator: | Fletcher, M. |

Date: | 2011 |

Summary: | Three trenches were dug to ascertain reason for vertical cracks at the south-west corner of the south porch, a buttress at the south-east corner of the nave and the south-east corner of the chancel. It was found that the foundations in these areas were very shallow and that they lay on a moist clay soil that had been softened by water leaking from surface water drains installed about 20 years ago. |
