Summary: | A linhay – a traditional Devon farm building which provided shelter for stock at ground level and fodder storage above – to the south of 2 Hayes Dairy Cottages, Ratsloe, Poltimore, Devon, was recorded prior to repair and conversion of the building. The west end, nearest the road, appears to date from the late 18th century and was extended to form an 8-bay building, which survives largely intact, in the early 19th century. |
