Summary: | Excavation along the proposed route of the A379 Link Road at Exeter confirmed the presence of a substantial enclosure first identified by aerial photographs, dated to the Bronze Age. Within the enclosure there was a single roundhouse, and possible contemporary structures were noted external to the enclosure. Placed deposits of pottery and other artefacts were present in the terminals of the enclosure ditches. |
