| Summary: | The dock, constructed in the mid 1850s, occupies a prominent position in the village of Appledore, and remained in use until the early 1980s. Several proposals for new residential developments on the northern part of the dockyard site have been submitted, but none has been realised. The conservation plan has been produced to inform future development of the Grade II* listed structure. |
