Summary:Watching brief undertaken during works associated with the improvements to the Stoke Canon Flood Defence Scheme. Several linear ditches were identified and are considered to be associated with various phases of drainage or cultivation and are likley to range in date from the prehistoric to post-medieval periods. Several modern features were also identified on the east side of the village.
