Summary: | The guard house (Building 116) was built in 1894 and used as such until 1925. The unusual position of the building, set back from the original camp entrance in the north-east corner is probably due to the fact that the guards were protecting the guns in the neighbouring gun park rather than vetting visitors. By 1933 the building had become a barrack room. The building is now used as the headquarters for visiting units. |
