| Summary: | (May 2014) Petrographic analysis of a sample of roof tile and ridge stone. Both were identified as non-local limestone. The roof tiles are 'Cotswold slates' from the Middle Jurassic Eyford Member in Gloucestershire, the ridge tiles as Bath Stone form the Middle Jurassic Great Oolite Group succession in the Bath-Cotswolds area. |
