Title: | A Prehistoric and Romano-British Settlement at Aller Cross, Kingskerswell |

Originator: | Hughes, S. |

Date: | 2015 |

Summary: | Excavations in advance of the construction of the A380 link road revealed an Iron Age and Romano-British enclosed settlement site. It appears to have been most intensively ocupied during the latter period and was enlarged in the 2nd-3rd century AD with the addition of an outer enclosure. Althought there was only limited survival of structures within the internal area the quality, range and quantity of finds suggests that a building of some status once stood here. |
