| Summary: | The present town hall was built in 1861 in classical style with a pedimented projecting central front.
The excavations revealed a number of archaeological features related to the construction and redevelopment
of Torrington Town Hall and its associated grounds. Whilst it is possible that earlier features
survive beneath the Town Hall building, those that were identified appear to relate primarily to postmedieval and modern activity. |
