Summary: | A multiperiod site was exposed during topsoil stripping at Town Farm Quarry in 2005. Surviving remains included two Bronze Age burnt mounds with timber troughs and pits and timber structures associated with a natural spring dating to the 7th century AD. A leather shoe of similar date was found in a hollowed tree trunk. |
