Title:Archaeological Recording on the Route of the SWW Gallows Gate to Barton (Torquay) Water Main

Summary:A report describing the results of archaeological recording undertaken along the route of the SWW Gallows Gate Reservoir to Barton water pipeline. The report is based on fieldwalking carried out after stripping of topsoil and observations of excavations of the pipe trench. The observations resulted in seven prehistoric lithic finds from south of the route. The other potential roman and prehistoric sites produced no archaeological material with one medieval sherd found near Edginswell.
