The site is located within the Old Paignton Conservation area, close to the site of the Bishop’s Palace. The proposed work entails the excavation of trenches in preparation for the construction of new foundations. Since the development is within the area of the Bishop’s Palace and being the probable site of the Great Stable all the groundwork should be dug archaeologically. |
