Summary: | Three seasons of excavation by North Devon Archaeological Society produced a significant amount of kiln bricks and furniture, a typology of pipes and hair curlers covering a century, as well as a number of other artefacts. Although no evidence of a kiln was found in situ, the assemblage throws light on a little-known part of North Devon, where there is potential for further research regarding other pipemakers. |
