| Summary: | Archaeological investigations in 2018 identified a substantial sub-square ditched enclosure with an internal possible grave and a pit, its initial use dating to the Middle/Late Iron Age to Early Roman period, with possible re-use in the early medieval period. Externally, a row of post holes identified as a possible fence line or palisade was recorded. A curvilinear ditch and pit located to the north of the enclosure were undated. Late post-medieval/early modern ditches identified as field boundaries were also excavated. |
