Summary: | 4, litchdon street, barnstaple (now demolished). In 1959 the house was derelict and in plan consisted of a range lying parallel to the street with a short wing projecting from one end at the back. Wing had 1 1/2 bays of xv century arch-braced roof and in upper room some xvii plasterwork. The main range had plaster ceiling of c 1750 on ground floor, also stairs of same period. Xviii ceiling upstairs also. First floor fireplace had ornamental plasterwork fireplace, c 1620.(description given).(everett). |
