| Summary: | The midden was exposed after a storm and low tides made the site available for study on two days; February 1st and 2nd 1983. The midden was surveyed, and parts removed for environmental sampling and excavation in the laboratory. The whole area of exposed peat was searched and surveyed. Aerial photographs taken. Magnetic samples of clay taken and produced a date of 8250 BP. |
