Summary : The foundations of eleven 20th century buildings associated with RAF Waddington (opened 1916: see SK 96 SE 48), were seen on early air photographs taken in 1929. They have subsequently been built over.
More information : The foundations of eleven military buildings associated with
Waddington airfield were seen as earthworks and stonework and
mapped from poor quality air photographs. They were seen on 1929
vertical photographs and have since been built over. There are
three large building foundations, 24m by 10m, centred at SK 9820
6416, and eight smaller foundations, 18m by 5m, located at SK 9822
6440, SK 9824 6430 and SK 9830 6450. (Morph Nos. LI.886.1.1 - 1.2)
