Summary : Magazine and enclosing traverse walls. Single-storey, brick and concrete building with two full-length vaulted chambers which are divided into storage bays by a separate internal timber framework.. Built in 1879 as part of the Priddy's Hard complex and used for the storage of cordite or gunpowder. The building differs considerably from the original design which was proposed in 1877. Many of the original features have been retained, but the building was partially damaged by a fire in 1994. |
