Summary : The east gate of Segedunum Roman fort was re-erected in Wallsend Park (Hall grounds) in 1912. It consists of three goups of masonry, one course high, in the form of corners of a rectangular building; three isolated blocks in line eastwards from these; and about seven courses of wall built into the hill to the south.
